Cala Rossa

The objective of Cala Rossa is to improve the potentiality of an area with strong tourist inclination, determined by its natural beauty and its cultural heritage, in order to satisfy the requests of a more and more demanding holidaymaker. Cala Rossa, set within the Li Canneddi area, is on a hill facing northwest, around 300 m from the beach and only 5 km from Isola Rossa. The complex lies on a plot characterized by Mediterranean shrubs and in a position that provides privacy yet within easy reach of all facilities. One outstanding feature of this development is that the hill on which it is situated allows each of the apartments to take full advantage of the panoramic sea views over the Asinara Gulf. This complex is located on an area of 30,000 m2 in which there is also an hotel with restaurant, leisure and meeting facilities and a variety shops. The residential portion has a total building volume of 11,958 m3, which shall be made up of 120 apartments divided between 7 separate blocks, with each apartments area ranging from 35 to 38 m2. The complex follows the existing contours of the land in order to obtain a better visual appearance while reducing the impact on the landscape. It has been designed to completely merge with the surroundings and in doing so becomes part of the natural panorama and preserves the privacy of each apartment. High attention has been paid in reducing the architectural features that deny access to the handicapped. Three of the apartments shall be completely equipped in order to satisfy that purpose.
